Key Responsibilities
- Culinary Leadership:
- Design and execute creative, high-quality menus tailored to various events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions.
- Ensure all dishes meet our standards for quality, presentation, and taste.
Operational Management:
- Develop schedules for the culinary team, ensuring adequate coverage for all events and kitchen operations.
- Manage food ordering and inventory, maintaining cost efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Oversee kitchen organization, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Team Leadership:
- Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff to uphold company standards.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to encourage growth and excellence.
Event Collaboration:
- Work closely with event manager and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Attend client tastings and consultations as needed to represent the culinary aspect of our services.
Administrative Duties:
- Monitor kitchen budgets, labor costs, and food expenses.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to kitchen operations and staff performance.
- Use scheduling and ordering software effectively to streamline operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef, preferably in a high-volume catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of menu development, food costing, and large-scale food preparation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office.
